WELCOME!

Welcome!!! “Faces of Terror” is the horrific new offshoot of my caricature business 'Caricatoonz by John Sprague',  but specializing in specifically horrific and weird caricatures and cartoons, tailor made to poke fun at the strangeness of the human  race in all its beautifully grotesque freak show glory. I began using this name last fall (2013), when I opened a retail caricature stand at Philadelphia's legendary historical attraction, Eastern State Penitentiary, and it's annual transformation into the hair-raising, zombie and ghoul-filled Halloween attraction 'Terror Behind the Walls', and had an insanely bloody good time working there, along with a few other like-minded caricaturist cohorts. After that ended in November, I have been itching to continue this idea and also turn it into something more than just the name of a retail stand. So my aim here is to not only share all live horrifically themed caricatures I (and others) have done for 'Faces of Terror', the stand, but to also showcase all caricatures/cartooning/illustration I have done (and will be doing) that fall into the
'scary' or 'scarily funny' category. I've always been fascinated by horror/surreality/darkly whimsical/ridiculous/absurd movies/tv/comics/cartoons, and that fascination informs much of my favorite work, and it needs a specific home, so here it is. I hope you will be along for the long, dark, journey into the dark, dusty, creepy, and grimy dungeons of my imagination (as well as side trips into the funhouse worlds of other artists I've teamed up with), and the disorientation will give you some dizzying sensations of delirium, causing you to laugh/puke your guts out! thanks, enjoy.
